Welcome to JaDanceJAMAICA DANCE – May 2023 . POSTPONED. It is with a huge amount of regret that I have had to make the extremely difficult decision to POSTPONE our Jamaica Dance holiday this year. This isn’t a decision that has been made lightly, but as a result of medical issues I am facing which require treatment, and which now prevent me from flying. Unfortunately, I find myself with no other choice but to postpone this holiday. For all those people already booked to come on this trip, I will be /have already emailed you directly about the details. If you have any further questions, please do send me a private message, rather than comment on this post. Thank you all for your understanding at this time – I know we’re all disappointed – but I am confident and positive that we’ll be back in 2024.
Our last trip to Jamaica sold out fast and (check out the gallery of pictures) was beyond “Krazy” – an adventure full of smiles, wonderful memory-making experiences, laughter, friendship, exploration and dance. It was SO successful and SO much fun that we simply can’t wait to go again – we are beyond excited about what is on offer in May 2023. You will find more detail in the Itinerary Section, but you can look forward to trips & excursions, a boat cruise, social dancing, fitness and dance classes and/or just relaxing under the Jamaican sun. You can join in or opt out of as little or as much as you want – the choices are there, but not compulsory – so that you can decide how you spend your days.
Our Dance Timetable
Your team of teachers for this Jamaica Dance Holiday are a seriously talented bunch! We have carefully chosen them for their not only skills and expertise, but also because each one – in their own unique way – has an enthusiasm that is utterly infectious. You can look forward to instructors who specialise in Kizomba, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, On 1 & On 2 Salsa, Cuban Salsa, Afro-house and Dancehall. Those of you that like to keep fit and active whilst away – we have a new addition to our trip for 2023; a morning fitness programme with a fully qualified CUBAtone instructor. You can get fit, feel fabulous and have fun, whatever your fitness levels, as CUBAtone is most definitely a workout made for ALL!

With that in mind, we have a completely new look and a new team, which includes some exceptional teachers in Salsa (On 1 & 2), Bachata, Kizomba and Afro-House. We are also excited to be involving some of the local dancehall teachers into our itinerary too!
As always – couples, single people and groups are ALL welcome, from wherever in the world!
Join us for the ultimate cultural experience, dance holiday and party in the sun on the stunning white beaches of beautiful Negril!
Rasa is another one of those rare talents you find on the dance floor. She’s a very experienced dancer - beautiful, elegant, skilled, charming and easy to get on with. Whatever your dancing level or abilities, Rasa will assist you in adding just that little bit of extra technique and style. From basic moves to more complex routines, Rasa will help you learn, improve and feel more confident with your dance. Everyone loves her classes! On 1, or 2 and Cuban Salsa - Rasa will ably assist you in bringing the passion, the smoothness and that extra ‘something’ to your dancing.
We are so pleased to have Sarah Leigh joining our team this year. She is one of the most vivacious, talented and delightful people we know. She is very passionate about dance and brings this passion into all that she does. She'll be bringing and sharing that passion with us in Jamaica, as well as the lively, energetic and fun-filled CUBAtone dance fitness classes that she teaches. All this, alongside her amazing dancing, and infectious smile. She is a lot of fun to be around - and we are excited to have her on board.
Good times are coming!!
Nelson Campos AKA “Kizomba Guru” needs no introduction. He is one of the pioneers of promoting Kizomba dance worldwide, teacher of teachers and one of the best and most experienced instructors of Kizomba. Originally, from the West Coast of Africa (Guiné Bissau), now based in the UK since 1999, but then later travelled around the globe where he taught and performed this beautiful dance form in more than 50 countries and over 500 cities. He recently returned to the UK and together with Tony, opened a new venue in Milton Keynes. Nelson Campos is the creator of the world’s first Kizomba DVD series levels I, II, III, IV and V back in 2009. Any opportunity to watch and learn from Nelson is an opportunity not miss.
We are excited to have Phil Kaila join the JA Dance team for this event. With his origins planted deeply in Zambia and South Africa, African-based dance adds an extra dimension to his repertoire. Phil, known for his crazy line-ups, fun-loving personality and for getting people up on their feet. He’ll start an animation or a party just about anywhere there is room to stand up in! He can’t help but get you up and moving, then he’ll dance with absolutely everyone, as many times as he can, until the night is over. Phil is a charismatic dancer, a fun teacher and one of life’s always-positive enthusiasts! "Don't worry, be happy"
DJ Mani (aka Mr. COOLIOO) recognised as one of the best salsa DJ's in the UK. A resident DJ in many popular Salsa events around the country, with 26 years’ experience under his belt, a talented all-rounder with a unique ability to blend the music for the crowd and choose tracks that complement dancers, appeals to listeners, and Salsa music enthusiasts. Meeting DJ Mani is meeting someone who is full of joy & passion for what he does while entertaining both dancers and those listeners who prefer to sit back, watch and relax with friends. Mani is a DJ who always delivers the perfect mix of tracks to fire up any dance floor. He has an inside knowledge of all Afro-Latino music genres and to top it all off – he’s also a fabulous dancer. DJ Mani's philosophy is "Play what your crowd wants, not what you think they should dance or listen too. Good DJ-ing isn’t about imposing your own music preference onto others". Having Mani with us guarantees that your holiday will be full of music that moves you and dances to die for.
Tony is the Organiser of this event. He started these dance holidays in 2010 with the aim of bringing the ‘Sunshine’ and new Jamaican cultural to salsa and Kizomba. They proved to be a great success right from the start and have grown year on year, with people coming from countries Tony hasn’t even heard of!
Now, after a break due to COVID, Tony is super excited to be bringing back Jamaica Dance in 2023. His passion for dance, for music, for travel, for adventures and for Jamaica – will all be woven together to create one of the most exciting holidays you could hope to go on.
Tony chooses his team carefully to ensure you are surrounded by talented teachers, great dancers and an energetic and friendly group. He carefully selects just the right combination of amazing souls - the most infectious people to be around.
Those that have worked on or attended one of these Jamaica Dance holidays with Tony will tell you that it was a privilege to be there.
